In Converstation: John Edmonds & Jessica Lynne
145 Elizabeth St
Opens October202026
Please join us for an evening with John Edmonds and writer, editor, and art critic Jessica Lynne during the final week of The Space Between. Held within the exhibition, their seated conversation will focus on the ideas and decisions that shaped the show, followed by a Q&A. We welcome you from 6 PM to spend time with the exhibition before the conversation begins.
For nearly a decade, John Edmonds has photographed African sculpture as a means of connecting the Black human subject to the continent of Africa. Across photography, film, and installations incorporating ready-made sculpture, he considers touch as a way to connect ancestral knowledge with the contemporary world.
“My photographs and films often consider touch as a methodology to act out a desire for connection, reverence and love.” – John Edmonds
