For the 2026 iteration of Frieze Los Angeles, Company is pleased to present a solo presentation of a new body of work by Mexican artist Sergio Miguel titled ‘Tercio de Muerte’.

This series of meticulously rendered oil paintings continues the artist’s exploration into the tension between historical allusion and contemporary critique, particularly in reference to the enduring legacies of Spanish colonialism. Drawing from 17th and 18th century painting traditions, religious iconography, and symbolic language, Miguel crafts a visual narrative that examines themes of monstrosity, spectacle, and desire.
