Tobias Bradford
Full CV (PDF)
Tobias Bradford’s uncanny bodily sculptures speak to the delicate nature of the human psyche. Animated with rudimentary mechanics, Bradford’s works display the repetitive actions characteristic of compulsive behavior.Disembodied limbs tremble, tap, quiver and rock with absurd and frenzied energy, challenging our notions of agency and the equivocal relationship between mind, body, and the limitations of technology.
Bradford’s most recent solo exhibitions include Health and Safety, Sinne Galeri, Helsinki, Finland (2025); Hundis, Trollhättan Konsthall, Trollhättan, Sweden (2025); As My Eyes Adjust, Company Gallery, New York (2024); Cold Air on Tender Skin, Örebro Konsthall, Sweden (2024); Big Hole, Saskia Neuman Gallery, Stockholm (2022); The Maria Bonnier Dahlin Award Exhibition, Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm (2021); and Stage Fright, Huxley-Parlour, London (2021). His work has also been included in group exhibitions at Nicelle Beauchene, New York, NY; Coleccion SOLO, Madrid, Spain; AIRSIDE, Hong Kong, China; and the Art Biennale, Örebro, Sweden. Bradford graduated from Goldsmiths University of London in 2019, and is currently on a break from his Masters at the Royal Art Institute of Stockholm. He has exhibited widely across Stockholm, Sweden, and London, UK.
